About the Role:
- Oversee and manage complex planning projects from initial concept to final approval.
- Provide expert guidance on planning policies, zoning regulations, and development requirements.
- Prepare and submit planning permit applications and development approvals to relevant authorities.
- Engage with clients, local councils, and stakeholders to ensure compliance and positive outcomes.
- Mentor and support junior planners, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
- Contribute to the team's growth by identifying opportunities for process improvements, training and resources.
- Extensive experience in town planning, with a strong background in development approvals within a private consulting environment.
- Deep understanding of planning legislation, policies, and regulatory frameworks within Queensland.
- A proven track record in managing and delivering development projects from concept through approval.
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and team development.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- A commitment to sustainable, community-focused urban planning.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning or a related field.
