As they continue to grow, we have been engaged to find them a highly skilled and driven Team Leader – Statutory Planning to join them on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planning professional to take the next step in their career, leading and mentoring a team of talented planners while playing a key role in the success of development approvals.
About the Role In this leadership position, you will:
- Oversee and manage complex planning projects from initial concept through to final approval.
- Provide expert guidance on planning policies, zoning regulations, and development requirements.
- Prepare and submit planning permit applications and development approvals to relevant authorities.
- Collaborate with clients, councils, and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
- Mentor and support junior planners, fostering a high-performance and growth-oriented team culture.
- Support the sole Director with business improvements, marketing and business development initiatives.
- Extensive experience in statutory planning, with a strong background in development approvals.
- In-depth knowledge of planning legislation, policies, and regulatory frameworks in Victoria.
- Proven track record of managing and delivering complex planning projects.
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and team development.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning, Town Planning, or a related field.
