Our highly successful client is a civil contractor in Melbourne that is looking for a Project Engineer to support two of their Project Manager's on a $9M bridge reconstruction project along the Great Ocean Road, just outside of Apollo Bay.
You will join a team known for delivering complex civil and water infrastructure related projects in the local market as well as projects interstate. They are busy delivering wetlands projects, sub-ground structures as well as broad range civil and earthworks jobs.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the successful delivery of projects within the designated timeframe and budget
- Oversee site activities and manage subcontractors - mostly structural
- Administration support
- Quality assurance
- Order materials and manage procurement
- Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and authorities
- Adhere to all health and safety requirements
Requirements:
- Degree in Construction/Engineering
- 2-4 years of experience as a Project Engineer is a must
- Would also consider experienced Site Engineers for the role
- Experience delivering Bridge Construction or Bridge Replacement project heavily favourable
- Strong understanding of structural elements, FRP works and concreting
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Live nearby to the Apollo Bay area or happy to relocate for duration of the contract
