Role
An experienced Estimator is required to join the Estimating team of 4 due to an internal promotion and increase in workload.
With the support of the Estimating Manager, Senior Estimator and Directors your responsibilities will include:
- Managing estimating and pricing activities.
- Coordinate multiple estimates and define areas of responsibility.
- Perform quantity take-offs and produce bills of quantities.
- Review material and labour requirements, selecting cost-effective trades.
- Approve and submit final cost estimates to clients.
- Attend tender interviews and prospect new client relationships.
- Liaise with the construction team and prepare project schedules.
- Hand over projects to the delivery team.
- Software used: Planswift, Bluebeam and MS Projects
Requirements
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification
- At least 4+ years in an Estimating position for a commercial builder
- Ability to accurately price commercial projects upto $20M
- Commutable to Ballarat or Geelong
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player and positive attitude
- Willingness to learn
