About the position
Reporting to the Team Leader, Reporting to the Senior Planning and Development Advisor, the Development Advisory Support Officer is a member of a team responsible for providing expert and influential advice on planning and development matters.
Working in a fast-paced environment, you will use your initiative to monitor, prioritise and manage workflow across the Unit.
This is an exciting role for someone with Planning Admin experience that wants to contribute to the success of the Workplace. Working under the direction of the Senior Planning and Development Advisor, you will actively contribute to a positive organisational culture and achieve the highest standards of performance and integrity; fostering genuine partnerships across all levels of government, industry, and community to deliver organisational outcomes.
Key selection criteria
1. Experience and qualifications
• A relevant tertiary degree and/or post graduate qualifications is desirable.
• Experience in providing business support is desirable, preferably in a planning environment.
2. Knowledge and skills
• Knowledge of the Victorian Planning System.
• A broad understanding of environmental regulation as it relates to pollution and waste is desirable.
3. Capabilities
• Demonstrated capability to deliver projects / programs to plan in a fast paced environment, including the
management of risks, prioritisation of tasks, monitoring of workflow; and contributing to the evaluation of
project/program effectiveness; use of initiative to identify, communicate, and address delivery risks and
opportunities to improve organisational outcomes.
• A proven record of achievement in a similar role contributing to organisational excellence, high standards of
performance and a positive organisational culture.
