The primary focus of the role will be:
- Manage geospatial, valuation, and physical asset data in Council’s AIMS and GIS systems.
- Provide technical support, including assistance with the OneCouncil project and data migration from TechOne.
- Develop and document processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Manage geospatial, valuation, and physical asset data using Council’s Asset Management System (AMS) and GIS.
- Collect physical asset data via manual methods and GPS technology.
- Enter and update data in AMS through electronic downloads or manual entry.
- Input information on new subdivisions and Council infrastructure into asset registers (AIMS/GIS).
- Maintain accurate and current asset data, registers, public road records, and GIS shapes/objects.
- Prepare asset registers for system migrations as required.
- Develop and document processes to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Collaborate with departments to define asset data collection scope and handover processes.
- A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Asset Management or other relevant qualifications
- Asset Engineering/ Asset Management experience, ideally within a Local Government work environment
- A solid understanding of GIS and council asset management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A current drivers license
