You will be joining a young and growing Project Management Consultancy, who have already established a number of repeat clients and are lead by a Director who has a wealth of experience spanning over 20 years working with some of the most well known construction and consulting firms in Melbourne.
Due to a quickly growing portfolio, this firm has been expanding healthily over the last few years and continuing to do so as they already work across a wide variety of project sectors, including; Residential, Commercial, Educational, Health & Aged Care, Science and Government.
They’ve recently moved into a newly fitted out office within offices that also include a gym and pool.
They also have a strong, family feel culture where they encourage staff to be themselves and have a collaborative environment where staff can voice their opinions and hold open discussions to discuss potential ideas and problem solving on projects.
About the Role:
You will be joining the team as a Junior Project Manager, where you will be given an excellent opportunity to work with a talented team with mentoring and assistant from more Senior staff, working across multiple sectors, enabling you to learn and develop your project management knowledge and skills.
- Communicating with clients to understand their project requirements and goals.
- Creating project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Managing project tasks and ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinating with other team members and stakeholders, including clients and relevant professionals.
- Tracking project progress and reporting to clients and senior management.
- Identifying and resolving project issues or conflicts.
- Managing client expectations and building strong relationships.
- Participating in project meetings and calls.
- Assisting senior project managers with other tasks as needed.
Job Requirements:
To be suitable for this role, you must have the following:
- A degree in a relevant field such as project management or construction management.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in project management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
- Strong financial and budget management skills, with the ability to manage project budgets and financials.
- Knowledge of local construction industry and a strong knowledge of the Victorian Building Codes.
