About the Role:
- Responsibilities:
- Conduct cadastral, engineering, topographical, and building set-out surveys
- Prepare and supervise calculations, drawings, field notes, and reports, ensuring accuracy and detail
- Oversee and sign off on subdivision plans, maintaining a high standard of work across all deliverables
- Act as a mentor, providing guidance to surveyors in training and supporting their professional development
- Maintain project files, drawing registers, document control systems, and Quality Assurance documents
- Additional Duties:
- Oversee invoicing for completed work, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Manage and maintain survey equipment, ensuring all resources are available, calibrated, and in optimal condition for project requirements
- Prepare fee proposals, estimating resources and timeframes for project scopes, and manage project budgets and timelines
- Communicate progress regularly with both management and clients, ensuring clear and consistent updates
- Support project administration, such as planning permit applications, certification processes, and compliance follow-ups
- Demonstrated expertise in cadastral surveying and larger infrastructure projects (e.g., DTP-type work)
- Strong consulting skills, with the ability to advise and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
- Proven ability in cost management, efficient time management, and quality assurance practices on projects
- Motivated by project involvement and technical challenges rather than team management responsibilities
- Proven local experience
