An Urban Design and Planning Consultancy close to the city with a strong reputation of proven project delivery in both public and private sector.
You will be providing strategic and hands-on support to the Directors, be first point of contact for staff and lead operations with a People & Culture focus.
Managing a small team, you'll be a strong coach and mentor, creating opportunities to upskill and improve efficiencies.
The role
- Assist Managing Director with organisational change and process improvements
- Oversee 2 support staff, coaching, mentoring and upskilling
- Drive implementation of new software and champion
- Manage all HR operations across full employee lifecycle
- Manage end to end recruitment including sourcing, onboarding and inductions when required
- Facilitate performance reviews
- Establish a competitive Employee Value Proposition
- Handle all employee queries
- Oversee compliance and quality assurance of office policies and procedures
- Practice/Studio/Operations Manager experience in a similar role within the built environment preferred (architecture, design, building engineering etc)
- Experience leading HR initiatives
- Experience using a project management system and understanding of time-billing
- Calm, friendly personality and a natural ability to build positive relationships
- Excellent organisation skills
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
Due to the nature of the role, it is preferred that this person will be in the office the majority of their week, however flexibility is offered.
