Role
The relevant role is an initial 3-month contract, with the possibility of a permanent role, delivering a large scale Mining Facility in Balranald, located just outside of Mildura on the NSW border.
This particular role is a Monday-Friday assignment with costs that cover meals and accomodation, with a potential vehicle offered in certain circumstances.
This role would suit those local to the Mildura region, or those willing to travel and live away from home during the week throughout the contract.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Ability to understand and interpret drawings, designs and 3D models
- Calculating volumes for each work area and total material volumes
- Maintain records of daily testing
- Provide timely notice to client for upcoming works
- Identify, set out and report on daily work area testing
- Preparing ITP's, updating FIC's, updating spreadsheets of geotechnical results, gathering and overseeing all quality assurance documents and tasks
Requirements
- Bachelor/Masters of Engineer degree
- Experience delivering Bulk Earthworks or Mining projects previously
- Strong geotechnical background and exposure conducting quality tests on site (ITP's)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ideally proficient with AutoCAD and Trimble softwares
- Immediate availability or on short notice
